My name is Nate, I’m an average 27 year old with a beautiful family, an 8 to 5 job, and a mortgage. I was ferociously bitten by the travel bug at the age of 15. Every time an opportunity to travel presented itself while I was in high school and college I was out exploring the world. I got married in 2006 and my wife and I went to Germany, Croatia, and Montenegro for our honeymoon……..and I haven’t traveled anywhere since! We have been grounded, not by choice or lack of motivation, but because of the restrictions of paid time off and responsibilities that come with having bills to pay……..AKA - Becoming Adults.After talking with many family members, friends, and co-workers we all seem to be in the same boat…..a desire to travel and an endless list of places to visit before we die. However, time and budget constraints only allow us to take major trips every 3-4 years. I figure this demographic includes a lot more individuals than the people I talk to regularly and that’s why I’ve created this blog.
